The course of studies “Master of Arts Linguistic and Literary Computing” aims to introduce the students to the theories and methods of corpus- and computer-based Linguistics and Computer Philology.
The course of studies “Master of Arts Linguistic and Literary Computing” aims to prepare students for career entry. Due to its structure, which requires to choose a study focus in the second year of study, it opens up the possibility of pursuing a specialized academic career (doctorate, habilitation) and gives access to professional fields that require a profound qualification in (Corpus-) Linguistics and/or Computer Philology. With regard to the societal role of the humanities, the course of study also aims to further a rational and scientific way of thinking, debating, and working.
