Head of department: Prof. Dr. Nina Janich
Our focus is on text, discourse and variety linguistics. We are particularly interested in questions of applied linguistics (e.g. on language in professional life as well as in scientific exchange or in advertising). In addition, we are involved in various interdisciplinary cooperations with the social and natural sciences.
